Strong and Taking Initiative
As a result of parents looking for healthier, more preventative methods to care for their children, sometimes even before they are born, there has been a meteoric rise in interest in pediatric chiropractic. Since it helps the body work at its optimum, chiropractic care may be of particular use to expectant mothers as well as youngsters, who have to adjust to settings that are constantly changing and are also subjected to a great deal of stress from the outside world.
Maintaining the health of children may save their families money by lowering or eliminating their need on medical procedures and pharmaceuticals to manage a variety of health conditions.
Your studies at Sherman College will equip you to provide medical attention to a wide variety of patients, including children and expecting mothers. A course in pediatrics is included in the required coursework, and students who are interested in pursuing more education may choose to take an elective in the subject. The International Chiropractic Pediatric Association has granted certification to a number of Sherman College professors and instructors (ICPA). As part of this certification program, two professors from Sherman College serve as ICPA teachers. In this capacity, they travel the world to educate and train chiropractors from other countries.
